Costa Cruises looking to restart September 6

Costa Cruises has negotiated with the Italian and Greek governments allowing them to start cruising September 6.
The Carnival Corporation owned Cruise line will start with a single ship, Costa Deliziosa offering week long cruises from Triest to the Greek Islands. A second ship is slated to begin September 19 with a 7 day cruises from Genoa to Malta with stops in Italy.
Costa is the second major cruise line to begin their sailing in Europe as MSC cruises began sailing August 16th.
Enhanced health and safety procedures are paramount on both cruise lines, including temperature checks for passengers and crew and mandatory mask wearing in indoor spaces.
The rest of the cruise industry is watching closely with bated breath.
