New York flattened the curve. Now its comeback begins.
New York City was hit tremendously hard by this pandemic, leading to the longest ever stay at home order, or lock down in the country. But now, the city is taking the first steps to re-open and for many of our friends and colleagues this is not a joyous time but a confusing time. There are questions regarding whether it truly is safe to be out in public, and fear about having a second wave. There is excitement to reconnect with one’s family, while also not wanting to cause any harm to loved ones.
Although there is still plenty of work to be done, I recommend checking out this article written by Kyle Almond with photographs by Timothy Fadek. The images are a haunting display of New York City throughout this lock down. It beautifully captured the drastic change from everyday life and gives a small glimpse into what life was like for our friends in NYC.
Wishing you all the best! You can find the article here.
